Budgets and Sectoral Development
The RID believes that poverty reduction is by far the obligation of nations, rather than the obligations of the citizens of the nations themselves. And that social and economic improvement can be achieved through appropriate financial allocation and expenditure. This suggests that, more than anything else, income remains the central route out of poverty, among other characteristics of rich life.

We support government Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) to implement the Poverty Reduction Strategy (PRS) that include Medium Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF) and the Medium Term Sector Strategy (MTSS). Our work in sectoral budgeting processes, and especially within  the States and Local Governments, the Ministries of Finance, Education, Agriculture, Water Resource and Health departments promote pro-poor budgeting practices.
