RID is often searching for short term (ST) and long term (LT) consultants to work in our increasing  markets in UK and Northern Nigeria. Our work is expanding to Ghana, Liberia, Southern Sudan and Cameroon.

Due to expansion as a result of increasing demands of RID services, RID would be recruiting for the following positions:

  • Programs/Projects Officer (2)
  • Project Management Officer (2)
  • Human Resource Officer (2)
  • Research and Development officer(2)

Duty Stations: Abuja and Kaduna, Nigeria
Supervisor: Lead Consultant


Education qualifications: Candidates must have at least a BSc Degree in Natural or Social Science disciplines such as Statistics, Economics, Engineering etc but must be interested in DEVELOPMENT WORK. A Master’s Degree in Development Studies, Public Policy, International Development, and any relevant development studies will be an added advantage.
Other Relevant Skills:

 

  • Working knowledge of spreadsheets, policy analysis, human resource, Monitoring and Evaluation, program/project management;
  • Excellent drafting and reporting skills;
  • Good communication and negotiating skills;
  • Good planning and organizational skills;
  • Good Knowledge of bidding competitive projects
  • Management skills including the management of large development stakeholders such as national and sub-regional governments, NGOs and donors.
  • Must be computer literate;
  • Research, Documentation, Advocacy and Social Policy Analysis skills;
  • Handling and use of large data skill (SPSS, STATA);
  • Be willing to travel internationally and nationally.

 

Work experience: Candidates must have at least 2-5 years of appropriate working experience in economic and social development programs and projects or related field of which at least 1 year could be at an international level. Experience in statistics analysis, human resource and project management will be an added advantage.
