Ra-ah International Development (RID) is a regional development consortium, currently operational in the United Kingdom and Africa. About 80% of our work is in Africa through our subsidiary office in Nigeria – the Ra-ah Institute of Development which is located in Kaduna and Abuja.

We are a management consulting firm providing social and economic development services for governments, donor agencies, NGOs and private organizations. We support our clients to achieve their goals and objectives to reducing poverty through our specialized services in:

Our clients:

We work with government institutions, Ministries, Department and Agencies (MDAs) to offer pragmatic solutions in defining and managing public policy goals and objectives, within their development needs and resource availability. We equally support governments, donors and the third sector to deliver pro-poor services by developing and managing capacities to implement, monitor and evaluate the impacts of their development programmes and projects.


We mobilise and build capacities of communities. Through the local authorities, we enhance the capabilities of rural people to participate, own and sustain development programmes and projects.

Currently, our work is predominantly resident in Northern Nigeria as we have a wide understanding of the challenges and prospects of the region. Since 2004 RID has been working alongside Northern States to support policy planning and implementation, initiate, train and implement M&E at the State Local Government (LG) levels.


Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E)

We design, train and implement M&E frameworks using traditional and modern strategies. Our M&E frameworks are flexible and scalable, i.e can be used for simple and small projects or large and complex programmes. We are strong in conducting impact assessments of small or large development programmes and projects.

Research and Policy Analysis

Our research activities are policy focused with emphasis on institutional reform, capacity building and concrete evidence- based development decisions. Consequently we conduct feasibility studies, situation analysis; training needs analysis, mapping and etc using modern qualitative and quantitative methodologies.

Project Management

Our Tenstep project management specializes in methodology, training and consulting. Our focus is project management lifecycle, PMOs, portfolios, and application support. We provide full packaged services and products in the following areas:

We are the only consortium that own and implement a Tenstep project management portfolio with a clear focus on social projects and programmes in Nigeria. We are promoting collaboration and partnership between project management and social development experts to improve the use of project management methodologies and tools in reaching the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) in Nigeria and other parts of Africa.

Training

Our training institute (Ra-ah Institute of Development) is uniquely positioned to provide additional and alternative qualifications in socio-economic development methodologies, statistics, and project management in Nigeria and other parts of Africa. The courses are certified by the Project Management Institute (PMI). They are designed for professionals and beginners alike. Sessions are mainly conducted for corporate organizations and groups but individual considerations are given to the youth, women and less privileged people.
